Save Time and Money - Get Started Today!
Are you assigning skilled staff members to manually check temperature gauges and write the temperature reading on paper or enter the numbers on a tablet? Would you like to streamline data collection and have visibility to actionable information in real-time?
Internet-connected sensors are a fast and easy way to save staff time, expedite decisons for your building management and equipment maintenance, and improve the accuracy of reporting for all types of facility management situations. "Internet of Things", often referred to simply as "IoT", refers to the collective network of connected devices and the technology that facilitates communication between devices and the cloud, as well as between the devices themselves.
Some of the most popular solutions include:
-
Environment Monitoring - Temperature, Humidity and Air Quality sensors
-
Cold Storage Temperature Monitoring
-
Computer Vision Sensors
-
Equipment Monitoring
-
Fall Detection and Prevention
-
Fluid Sensors/Leak Detection
-
Occupancy Management and People Counting
-
Safety and Security Solutions

Sensors can be easily installed throughout your facility and connected through a gateway to provide instant alerts and mobile access to your data.

Improve environmental monitoring, compliance reporting and security while streamlining data analytics and expediting decision support for your facility.
Easy to Install: Sensors come in many shapes and sizes with options that are: Wired or Wireless, Mobile or Stationary.
Real-Time Data Collection: Get instant feedback, urgent notifications and expedite decision-making with live data streaming from all devices.
Fast, Scalable Solutions: Customizable deployments to fit your business needs
Use Case: Security
Leveraging IoT to improve security
There are many wired or wireless fixed sensors and security systems you can use to ensure safety and security both inside and outside your buildings. Traditional security systems use a combination of CCTV/connected cameras, wired or wireless sensors and security guards.
There are also situations where having an autonomous or semi-autonomous mobile robot can provide cost-effective support to your overall security infrastructure.
Of course, we can integrate data collected from our mobile robots with fixed sensors/IoT for a comprehensive overview of your facility.

Use Case: Ontario LTC Regulations
Air Temperature Monitoring
The Ontario government has mandated that all licensed long-term care homes must measure and document ambient room temperature on a regular basis and according to a fixed schedule.
Given labour shortages in most healthcare organizations, doesn't it makes sense for administrators to leverage technology to collect this information?
The home must be maintained at a minimum temperature of 22C.
The temperature must be measured and documented in writing, at a minimum in the following areas of the home:
1. At least two resident bedrooms in different parts of the home.
2. One resident common area on every floor of the home, which may include a lounge, dining area or corridor.
3. Every designated cooling area, if there are any in the home.
...
:The licensee shall keep a record of the measurements documented for at least one year." O. Reg. 246/22, s. 24.
Meighen Manor Health Centre (of the Salvation Army in Canada) recently deployed temperature sensors throughout their building. According to George Niculescu, Facility and Environmental Manager, "We are delighted with the support of GlobalDWS to install sensors and help us expedite data collection and streamline this important compliance reporting requirement."
