About the event

Long-term care leaders across Canada face increasing documentation requirements, workforce pressures, and growing expectations for quality, compliance, and resident-centred care.

At Isabel & Arthur Meighen Manor, like many long-term care homes, clinical documentation requires clinicians to spend significant time gathering information, reviewing resident history, and completing notes across multiple disconnected processes. Documentation is often completed after resident visits rather than at the point of care, resulting in delays, duplicate effort, and inconsistent records. Manual information gathering and reconciliation can reduce time available for direct resident care, create administrative burden, and make it more difficult for care teams to access the information they need when making clinical decisions.  Starting with a clinician-led workflow assessment, the team implemented AI-assisted documentation solutions that support more timely, complete, and consistent resident records while reducing administrative burden and freeing up time for enhanced engagement with residents.
